Back in Argentina!!

Mapuche with Sheep in Patagonia

hey, guys…

i’m back in Argentina.  have my apartment and my office back in Buenos Aires.  will be a couple weeks before i get into any fishing areas, i’ve got a lot of work to do to prepare for clients who will be coming the next several months.  also, have some friends from Austin here right now.  otherwise, i’d be up in Corrientes with my friends who left yesterday to fish for Dorado.  i’ll post pix from there when they get back, if they have good fishing.  supposedly it’s crazy up there right now, people catching Dorado and Pacu up to 20 pounds.

anyway, here’s a photo i shot years ago near Aluminé, actually in the Mapuche Indian Reservation (Ruca Choroi to be exact).  this is a native herding his sheep.  this photo was published in Wild on the Fly magazine for a piece we did on the NORTHERN PATAGONIA FISHING CLUB (go to ‘press’ section to view a copy of the article).  photo © Joey Lin 2003.  cheers.

That Gaucho on a black horse is a real piece of art.
